By BikeRadar UK | Tuesday, Dec 13, 2011 12.26pm

Here is Mountain Biking UK's Doddy talking us through the latest version of the Ibis Mojo HD, which is the bigger brother of the Mojo SL trail bike.

Coming in two options, 140mm and 160mm travel, the Mojo HD is fitted with a Kashima coated Fox Float RP23 rear shock, Formula The One brakes and Shimano Deore XT transmission. The full build (XL size) weighs in at 31lb/14.1kg.

You can check out the bike in action in the video below as well as reading a full first ride review in issue 272 of MBUK, in shops from tomorrow (Wednesday 14 December).

  • Not what I would call a review. Killer bike though.

  • It's not a review, it's a quick look to accompany the First Ride Review published in MBUK magazine...

  • Go Doddy! Nice one.

  • My 6" travel GT Force Carbon Expert only weighs 26lb, so not sure how the 31lb Mojo is "pretty good" considering the price tag.

  • What size is your 150mm travel GT? And does it have a heavy height dropper seat post on it?

What about heavy duty 2.4in tyres that weigh 900grams each?

What fork is on your bike- a 150mm Fox or 150mm Rockshox probably...

Is it a tapered steerer steerer tube?

The 160mm travel Ibis we rode was kitted with some heavy duty stuff- like the Fox 36 tapered fork, the Rockshox Reverb post, the 2.4in Schwalbe tyres etc.

And it was also an XL- 21.5in size.

It's a very good weight for the size.
