Video: MBUK take on the Airbag

This month the lads from Mountain Biking UK magazine disappeared off to a field with a Scottish guy, a kicker ramp and a LOT of black plastic. The result was the ‘Bag It Up’ feature which you can read now in issue 242.

The Airbag is the brainchild of Glasgow duo Nick Rees and Jamie Newall, and the idea is pretty simple. The bag is like a Hollywood stunt bag: you hurl yourself at it, it catches you. No pain, lots of gain!

Not only did Doddy and Ric spend the day bailing into it but they brought along Kona Bikes’ Grant ‘Chopper’ Fielder, his brother Ollie and Corsair’s Chris Smith, along with a few other nut-jobs for good measure. We went along with the BikeRadar camera to capture the best bits…
