Video workshop: How to change a flat tyre without levers
By BikeRadar UK | Thursday, August 18, 2011 3.57pm
Welcome to BikeRadar's bike maintenance video series, produced in conjunction with Unior tools, British Cycling and Cycling Plus.
In part two, former Team GB pro mechanic Spike Taylor - who now runs Pro Tool School bike mechanic courses - guides you through one of the simplest, but for many most dreaded, bike maintenance skills - how to change a flat tyre. In this case he does it without tyre levers, which means there's less risk of damaging the rim or pinching the tube.
Over the next few months we'll be featuring more mechanics tips, which are also part of a new cycle maintenance DVD that will be available with an upcoming issue of Cycling Plus.
