Video workshop: How to replace headset bearings

By Paul Stevenson in Bath, UK | Friday, October 14, 2011 10.20am

Welcome to BikeRadar's bike maintenance video series, produced in conjunction with Unior tools, British Cycling and Cycling Plus.

This week, former Team GB pro mechanic Spike Taylor – who now runs Pro Tool School bike mechanic courses – explains how to keep your steering smooth by replacing your headset bearings. It's a five-minute job that could save you £40 in bike shop charges.

Over the next few months we'll be featuring more mechanics tips, which are also part of a new cycle maintenance DVD that will be available with an upcoming issue of Cycling Plus magazine.
