What Mountain Bike magazine, Britain’s foremost mountain bike testing and buying title, has reached triple digits with its 100th issue – on sale now.
To celebrate the milestone the team have put out a bumper 196 page issue with a FREE 100 Britain’s Top Routes disc as part of the cover.
The disc is crammed with 100 routes for all abilities from all over the UK, each route with full descriptions and need to know information, as well as being hotlinked to the route maps on Bikely.com where you can download the .gpx file to your GPS unit or mapping software.
Amidst the bumper issue you'll also find a massive Superbikes test for some true trail eye candy, including Santa Cruz’s all-new Blur LT-Carbon and Scott’s £7000 Genius LTD; we also flip things into reverse to pit the best retro bikes of yesteryear against the best bike of this year, the Giant Anthem X1, to see if the old dogs can teach us any new tricks.
There’s also a retrospective over nine years of the magazine – from its original incarnation as quarterly magazine to today’s monthly – profiling each and every of the magazine’s Bike of the Year, as well as strolling down memory lane guided ably by the man who started it all, Steve Worland.
But, as with these things, there’s invariably more, and so much more that Matt Skinner, the editor, stood like a rabbit caught in the headlights in front of a video camera to make this trailer for the issue.
