What’s new on BikeRadar Training
By Faye Sanders, Communities Editor | Thursday, May 31, 2012 2.00pm
BikeRadar Training now has over 1,700 members, who have logged more than 300,000 miles – almost the equivalent of cycling to the moon! We’re constantly updating the site to make it the best training tool for you.
For example, you can now use BikeRadar Training to search for routes across the globe. You can check out the map to explore routes near you and discover new places to ride. It also allows you to keep track of where you’ve cycled and which places have inspired you if you’re visiting a new area.
Here are some of the other major new features that will be released over the next few months:
Routes updates: Including GPX/TCX import/export, additional map sourcing, a geolocation route finder, a 3D video player, directions, route-markers and a full-screen view.
Mobile app: This will be available for both iPhone and Android.
Community features: Get ready for our Facebook app, forums, comments, photos, videos, blogs and groups.
Add activity updates: More external data upload syncs, including Garmin Communicator, Polar Personal Trainer, Timex and Suunto. There’ll also be training data import/export features and data sync between multiple sites, powered by Training Diaries software.
Events calendar updates: Race results, reports and online entry.
Coach access: Share your plans, training log and performance data with your coach.
Plus: We’ll be introducing a workout generator, more graphs (including ones for other sports, such as weightlifting) and performance analysis options, live tracking, a food journal and international language options.
