World champions in abundance at Revolution

Rainbow feast at Manchester this Saturday

Eight world champions will line up at the UK's Manchester velodrome for Revolution 18 this Saturday, November 17th.

World points champion Joan Llaneras, Madison champion Franco Marvulli and individual and team pursuit champion Bradley Wiggins are the big names, with junior world champions Thierry Jollet, Kristina Vogel, Christian Lyte, Dave Daniell and Pete Mitchell sporting their rainbow jerseys too.

From the international contingent, six day specialists Peter Schep and Iljo Keisse will be making the trip off the back of the Munich six. Both Marvulli and Keisse have shown great form so far this season with Keisse taking victory in the Amsterdam six and Marvulli winning in Munich and Dortmund.

The programme on Saturday will include a 20km Points Race, 1km Madison time trial and team pursuit challenge where emerging British riders Andy Tennant, Jonathan Bellis and Peter Kennaugh will take on experienced Spanish trio, Sergei Escobar, Miguel Alazamora and Antonio Tauler.

In the sprint races, junior riders from Great Britain, France and Germany will go head to head for the first time since the junior world championships earlier this year.

Tickets are on sale at www.cyclingrevolution.com or by calling +44 (0)845 686 0105 or +44 (0)161 223 2244. Tickets will also be on sale on the door.
