The biggest road race of the year, this year's Tour takes a clockwise loop round France, starting in London.

    And that wraps it up for today's fourth stage between Villers-Cotterets and Joigny. We'll be back on Thursday at 12:50 (11:50 BST) for stage 5 between Chablis and Autun over 182.5km. It's a difficult stage that is littered with small to medium climbs, and will probably not suit the sprinters.

    Thor had a great leadout from his man Julian Dean on the right hand side, before taking off up the middle to claim the stage in Joigny. Hunter was frustrated as he came up behind for second, but there was no beating the green giant Thor Hushovd today.

    Fabian Cancellara will keep the yellow jersey for another day, no problems.

    Dean leads out for Hushovd, thn Hunter tries to get through. Big Thor comes through and wins the stage ahead of Robert Hunter and Oscar Freire!!!!

    Inside the final kilometre and it's Quick.Step and T-Mobile leading out.

    Boonen is looking for his men, even though he's in a good position himself. Now T-Mobile move up for Cavendish and Eisel. Thomas does a turn for Barloworld, then Tosatto takes over for Quick.Step.

    The Quick.Step push is getting ready on the right hand side of the road. Wegmann does a big turn under 2km to go.

    The front of the bunch now has a Liquigas rider there, with a Barloworld man on his wheel. Saunier Duval is trying to move up for Ventoso.

    Vansummeren is doing a massive turn. He finally swings off and drops back at 3km to go.
