With so many similar, often identical, carbon composite bars emerging from Far Eastern factories, it's hard to find a marketing advantage, but Easton has been establishing its market-leader reputation for longer than most.
Their carbon nanotubes (CNT) are, apparently, "an array of carbon atoms arranged in a pattern of hexagons and pentagons", then "manufactured in tubular shapes a few billionths of a metre in diameter." All impressive stuff, and they're said to be the strongest fibres around. We've had Easton CNT bars and seat posts fitted to well-abused bikes for over a year now, so we've grown to trust them. We don't have room to list all the options here, but the Riser XC is easily one of our favourite all-rounders. It's available in standard or oversized, and there's a 100g fl at bar for the weight fetishists.
