  • Nice interview. It's Jelle Nijdam by the way, the spelling as not the same as the unrelated Scott Nydam.

    Shoot, there goes a childhood hero. I used to love Nijdam's explosive finishes, the suspense he'd bring to the final moments of a race knowing he'd often try - and succeed - to get the jump on the sprinters. He had a nice victory salute too. Shame those arms were used for punching others, although that was fairly common before the TV images reduced this.
