The world's top racers have gathered in La Bresse, France for the second downhill round of this year's UCI Mountain Bike World Cup.
Last week's round in Houffalize, Belgium only featured cross-country and 4X racing, and the previous round in Germany was cross-country only. This week it is the turn of the full-face faction to shine.
All eyes will be on Greg Minnaar (Santa Cruz Syndicate), winner of this year's first round in his home town of Pietermaritzburg, South Africa. Other strong contenders include Aussies Sam Hill (Monster Energy/Specialized/Mad Cat) and Mick Hannah (GT), and Brits Gee Atherton (Animal Commencal) and Steve Peat (Santa Cruz Syndicate).
In the women's race, Rachel Atherton is still out of the running due to injury, leaving Brit Tracy Moseley (Trek World Racing) and Frenchwoman Sabrina Jonnier (Maxxis/Rocky Mountain Bicycles) as the favourites.
Qualifying takes place on Saturday, with the finals on Sunday. The event will be broadcast live on Freecaster from 12.15pm on Sunday.
