Belgian strongman Tom Boonen (QuickStep) powered his way to victory in the 186.4km Stage 16 of the Tour of Spain from Ponferrada to Zamora Tuesday for his second win of the year's final Grand Tour in front of former teammate Filippo Pozzato (Liquigas).
Spaniard Alberto Contador (Astana) remains in the leader's golden jersey as the race snakes its way to a grand finale in Madrid Sunday.
