We've just received a Boardman SLR 9.0S (£2,699.99) at the BikeRadar office. We've given it a quick run down for you before it gets a full review.
Our 56cm, carbon fibre SLR 9.0S weighs 7.65kg (16.87lb) and the oversized frame is a full carbon monocoque construction with a carbon fork and tapered steerer. Its BB30 press-fit bottom bracket is low and contributes extra surefootedness to the 73-degree parallel angles and 990mm wheelbase.
Shifting is taken care of by Shimano's Ultegra Di2 system (derailleurs and gear levers), with a 105 cassette and FSA Energy 50/34 chainset. Stopping the Mavic Aksium wheel and 700x23c Aksion tyre combination are a set of Shimano 105 brakes.
The battery for the Di2 system is reasonably discreet in its mounting on the non-driveside chainstay – a position that's also a low drag area. The SLR 9.0S is completed with an in-house Boardman Pro cockpit, a Ritchey WCS carbon seatpost and Fi'zi:k Arione Manganese saddle.
Internal cable routing keeps the frame tidy
