Video: Boardman AiR/TT 9.8 frame to full build

We talk through the method behind the madness

Most time triallists, from pros to amateurs, like to tweak and customise their bikes to their own specifications.

Whether it's a more comfortable saddle, faster wheels or a bigger (or smaller, but usually bigger) chainring, it's actually rare to find two time trial bikes exactly the same.

As part of our focus on time trialling this week, our resident aero expert Jeff Jones takes us through a build of a Boardman AiR/TT 9.8 frameset to a complete bike (weight as pictured is 7.8kg/17.2lb).

In this four minute video, Jeff explains the reasons for his choice of parts – everything serves a distinct purpose.
