BMC embraces riders' nationalities - 21 Days of Tour Tech

The World Cup may be over, but national pride lives on at the Tour

BMC as a company got into World Cup fever this summer, with national pride spilling over from watching the international football competition into the Tour de France. At the Tour, each BMC rider has national motif decals on his bikes and Pearl Izumi cycling caps.

BMC employees and distributors were also wearing their respective national colours at business events this summer.

"Flags are a symbol of nationalism and globalism and BMC's growth strategy is a global one," BMC CEO David Zurcher said in a press release. "BMC has undergone a lot of changes in the last few months, and the flags unify the BMC family through a common theme that, at the same time, embraces and celebrates the diversity of nationalities."
