Ground Effect Stormtrooper
BikeRadar verdict
"Practical, highly protective jacket at a decent price"
Bad weather couldn't kill Kenny in this hot hoodie from down under (it also comes in black, for those who don't live in South Park). The Hydrofoil fabric is ready for anything though, with a stowaway under-helmet hood, extended tail and long, thumb-looped cuffs keeping you sealed.
It shifts sweat well too, and you'll be glad of the generous side zips when you need cooling down. It's kept light by a general lack of features but the back pocket is huge and comes complete with a waist strap to convert into a bum bag once it's swallowed the jacket. Pricing is good too, although you'll have to wait a week for postage from NZ.
Manufacturers description
Battledress for toughing it out when the weather turns to custard. The Storm Trooper shields you from the torrent with waterproof-breathable HydroFoil fabric, fully tape-sealed seams and WhaleTail back. Its zip-away hood doubles as a prop for Buzz Aldrin impersonations.Shopping partners
