DeMarchi Contour Evolution Short Sleeve Jersey
BikeRadar verdict
"Good shape and hot weather performance with a soft touch"
Like Assos, De Marchi has used a backbone to reinforce the shape at the rear. This holds the jersey’s shape when you’re in the saddle and prevents the pockets from sagging when weighted down. It’s a neat feature that works, although the thicker back panels impede wicking a little.
The Dry 3 Next fabric has a good degree of stretch to it and has a soft, silky touch. The fibres are hollow to improve moisture transfer and even with those thicker back panels this is a good hot weather jersey, with anti-bacterial underarm patches to help reduce any odour and lengthen time between washes.
Silicone grippers do a good job of keeping the back in place.
The high-end price puts it up there with Assos, but it doesn’t quite have the same lust factor.
