FR-C is the designation given to Giordana’s pro level garments. The 'Trade' part of the name means that the jersey is printed with a design, in this case the Predator design.
The FR-C jersey uses Host Carbon fabrics, which enhance durability and control sag and stretch, as well as the super light Asteria 2.0 fabric for the large front and rear panels.
Shorter and narrower in the body than the Laser jersey (and strangely, slightly wider in the sleeves), the FR-C is one we found ourselves instinctively reaching for and making sure we put it through the wash as quickly as possible.
The cut of the FR-C jersey is spectacular. It doesn't restrict movement and isn't baggy or saggy. The tail has a silicone printed band to stop the pockets sagging down when loaded, although with such a tailored cut that isn't an issue.
Multiple materials are used to create exceptional fit and comfort
The front hem is made of a broad strip of Aerofix fabric, which allows it to sit snuggly against the abdomen without feeling tight. Aerofix fabric is also used for the sleeve cuffs, which employs a broad, flat strip of fabric and is very comfortable. Three deep pockets, a zippered security pocket (no headphone port) and reversed a cam-lock zip – with a neat zip-garage at the bottom to prevent snags – complete the classy FR-C jersey.
Perfectly comfortable on even the hottest of days, the FR-C jersey is one very good piece of cycling kit.
