Kinesis Attack
BikeRadar verdict
"Great value road and time trial fork"
Kinesis have been making forks for other manufacturers since 1989 and this is their top model using a mixture of high modulus carbon for the fork blades and medium modulous carbon for the steerer and crown.
While this, and indeed the other forks on test conform to the UCI limit on the profile that is allowed for use in UCI sanctioned events, this fork has an identity crisis with its mildly-aerodynamic fork blade section that will appeal to time triallists as much as roadies, and the rake is 4cm only. This offsets its slightly longer than average fork blade length.
This fork provided better than expected lateral stiffness and greater than average comfort and it's the most reasonably priced true 'full carbon' fork here. For 1 1/8in steerers only.
Manufacturers description
This is the latest and most highly developed road fork from Kinesis. The 11/8” steerer is made from tough ‘linear strand’ carbon, giving extreme lightweight and dependable strength, the high modulus carbon blades are shaped to give minimum drag with maximum response and shock absorption. An ideal partner for our superb KiC2 frames. Only 385g Black Crown/Carbon blades.Shopping partners
