Easton EC90 SL | $249.99
BikeRadar verdict
"This light fork competes well with its more expensive rivals"
The SL is the top of the EC90 range. It uses cutting-edge 'nanotechnology' to bind the carbon fibres more closely and create a stronger structure.
The steerer tube has a flat edge down its length to avoid notching of the steerer-tube as the stem clamp is tightened. A couple of test riders said that this fork felt very similar to the costlier Look HSC 5 and Time Millennium Stiff, so it won't disappoint the rider who is looking for comfort and stability in equal measure. Easton includes an externally adjustable spacer in place of the usual star washer, though in our experience these loosen over time. The five-year warranty is an added bonus.
Manufacturers description
The Easton EC90 Superlite Forks, at 350 grams each, are almost twice as strong as any other fork this light. Easton's Intelligent Flexibility means the EC90 is engineered to be stiff and rigid for high-performance cornering, yet absorb the pounding of the open road for unparalleled riding comfort.Shopping partners
