Cinelli Vai
BikeRadar verdict
"Pretty stiff, but a real bargain and available in two stem sizes"
The quality of this nicely-finished bar is spot on and the shaped drop is a very nice fit in the hand when riding.
Cinelli claims 310g for the 40cm wide version of these bars, and our 44cm sample weighed not far off 400g – which is no small difference, and quite a big old lump for a bar.
The amount of material in the bar explains why in our bendy test it really didn’t bend much at all, and out on the road this is the stiffest feeling road bar we’ve tested recently.
If you want stiff along with a nicely shaped drop, only the Massi Ergal comes close.
