Bikehut's Trekking Pedal, made by Wellgo, combines a caged platform on one side and an SPD on the other. The SPD side is compatible with the standard Shimano SPD cleat and release tension can be adjusted. If you're new to clipless pedals, this Trekking model makes a great starting point.

The platform side can be used if you're nervous about clipping in and this also means you don't need to wear specific shoes for the platform, ideal if all you're doing is nipping down to the shops. The platform features adjustable rubber bumpers and even comes with spares. CNC-machined axles run on sealed bearings; they feel smooth and Wellgo quality should mean they stay that way for a long time to come.
