Specialized Jett Gel Cromo Review - BikeRadar

Specialized's Jett Gel is a much more aggressive and distance ride friendly seat than their entry level Dolce, but while comfort is still high, so is the weight. Specialized have certainly thrown all their Body Geometry testing and technology into this saddle though. The broad, flat shell gets cut outs and a forked tail for flex and ventilation, while the upper features central grooves and suede effect Gel pads.

The result is immediately far more comfortable than the Dolce for mile hardened riders, and we had no trouble heading out on long rides straight away. The firm padding also becomes more welcome as distances increase, while the relatively flat profile lets you shift position easily and there's plenty of fore and aft movement in the rails. However, while comfort is excellent, it's not all good news. For a start, it weighs in heavy unless you get the 130g lighter £60 titanium version. There's no scuff/scrape protection on the backside either, and the embroidery edged synthetic suede panels rapidly look really grubby and start getting abrasive within only a few rides.
