Continental GP Force
BikeRadar verdict
"Easy to fit high performance tyre that really grips on corners"
The Force/Attack combination has been around for two years and is aimed at those who want to explore the limit of their abilities on fast descents - or anywhere that requires maximum cornering grip.
Like a motorcycle tyre, the treads are directional, and the front tyre is 1.5mm narrower than the 23mm rear. Both front and rear specific tyres have exceptionally soft tread compound that, despite the greater than normal tread depth, corresponds with a higher than average wear rate, but provides a confidence booster for those whose cycling involves racing in wet weather.
The Force/Attack displays exceptional cornering grip and the carcass retains its curved profile when flat. This makes it particularly easy to fit and remove using the hands. The front uses a 370 TPI and the rear a 430 TPI double belted casing for added resistance to punctures.
