Nectar have chosen to provide their energy drink as a syrup, with the pump attachment delivering an exact 25ml of syrup into your bottle.
- Pros: Easy dosage, good taste
- Lows: The pump drips sticky syrup
Increasing the strength of your drink with additional pumps changes it from a hydrating hypotonic (low salt to water) to an isotonic (equal salt/water) for regular exercise, and on to a hypertonic (high salt) for intense workouts.
The syrup is very easy to mix, obviously without any powdery lumps, and is one of the best tasting we've tried. The large 2L bottle holds enough syrup for 40 bottles, and is also available in individual sachets. Each 500ml isotonic mix includes 30g of carbohydrate and 120kcal, providing a reasonable amount of energy.
