Weldtite Puncture Repair Kit (10) | $4.57
BikeRadar verdict
"A cheap, cheerful and effective patch kit. "
This is the bread-and-butter puncture repair kit on sale in bike shops across the country. It has a good selection of patches, plus marker crayon and French chalk.
The vulcanising solution works well to join the patch to the inner tube. The patches aren’t as fine edged as some, which can mean the repair can look a bit lumpy, although this has no effect on the quality of the seal.

I've never used bread and butter for sealing punctures. I guess Hovis weight watchers bread and flora will be used to keep the weight down for roadies. :-)

Why would you bother with this when the Park self sticky patches work well and are easy to use, yeah they cost a little more but come on this is a review 1920's technology...

The yellow crayon does not draw on inner tube rubber very well. So it’s difficult to identify where the whole is sometimes.

I think the yellow crayon is only supplied as something to chew on whilst you are waiting for the glue to dry

Do the Park self sticky patches stay on long? I've read that sometimes over time they give up and start to leak...

I have used Slime glueless patches and they got me home fine but the next time I got bike out the tyre was flat. Tested the tube properly in a bucket of water and a tiny bubble appeared on the patch just enough to go flat over a few days. You cant beat the old fashioned patches for a permanent repair.

The only 'proper' way to fix a puncture in my opinion. Instant patches may work and they're fine for emergency repairs, but where's the satisfaction in using them? Fixing punctures with glue and little rubber patches has been a ritual for me since I got my first bike, and I'm not changing any time soon!

Although the kit comes with self adesive patches, I think your also meant to use the glue with these patches. I've never had one leak.
