There is no admissible evidence of wrongdoing or even proof of jurisdiction for the court. Off with his head, indeed.

Young person with lots of money, put yourself in his shoes...?
How many other personalities have come out and said they have been addicted to drugs? then you go and watch their latest film at the cinema and pay their wages?
They also just nip to a clinic and get 'clean'...no prison sentence and everyone congratulates them on getting clean...although they have snorted more powder than a Dyson

@Tempestas: Age and wealth have nothing to do with it but I do agree with you that there is inequality in public judgement in comparison with other personalities.
In any event he made a bad decision and could just as easily have used his profile and wealth to promote worthy causes.

Just give him a slap on the wrist but ban him if he moves on to EPO or any actual performance enhancing drugs. He's a great cyclist and made a mistake, hopefully this whole episode will teach him a lesson. I want to see him win in Roubaix again this year!

If Boonen is as good as he is on a performance reducing drug how about him kicking the habit and showing us all how good he could be?
I'd like to see that. Its a shame he's a classy rider, but stupidity affects allsorts.
Roubaix wouldn't be the same without him.

shame.
you gotta think if he used to lifting chemicals for physical and change on a night out....it would be easy to reach for it to help his climbing and get his gallop to stage end.
