New Team GB replica jersey released

A full Union Jack has returned to the latest British Cycling replica team jerseys.

The new replica jerseys, made by adidas in conjunction with British Cycling were launched at the sportswear company’s Manchester shop at the weekend by three time Olympic champion Jason Kenny, GB Cycling Team Olympian Jess Varnish and multiple Paralympic gold medallist Jody Cundy.

The jersey has a more relaxed cut and a quarter length front zip making it suitable for sportive riders. For men, the ensemble is completed with matching replica bib shorts.

The British team’s kit was updated for the World Cycling championships in Minsk at the beginning of the year. Previous British cycling jerseys worn at world championships featured a lot red and blue and no defined union flag. Last year’s Olympic team kit, designed by Stella McCartney and also produced by adidas attracted controversy for being too blue.
