Prologo expands CPC control gloves range

Fluro saddle colour options also now available

Prologo gave us a sneak peek of its latest prototype gloves at the Taipei Cycle Show this week.

These are an expansion of the well received CPC (Connect Power Control) gloves, with the addition of new models designed for wet (mid-season), winter and enduro use.

Prologo’s Salvatore Truglio explained that the new winter glove and mid-season gloves have been out with Prologo’s pro road teams for pre-season training.

“This has meant that the designs have been refined by feedback from our riders, to the point where we are now ready to go beyond prototypes and into production,” he said.

Prologo's new winter CPC glove

The new full winter glove has a water-resistant and highly elastic neoprene body, with a windstopper membrane sandwiched between layers to keep the cold at bay.

The mid-season glove has a fold-out rain mitt

The mid-season glove uses CPC material on the palm, in the same place as previous models. Prologo has adjusted the position of the CPC pad on the forefinger and thumb though. The reason for this is that one of the side-benefits of the CPC cushioned grip is that it works on touch screens, so moving the positions to allow riders to operate their phones without having to remove the glove is a no-brainer. There’s also a fold-out rain mitt cover incorporated into the cuff.

The Enduro’s outer has reinforced fingers, a padded adjustable cuff and breathable fabric

Last up, is the new Enduro glove. Salvatore said that the original long-finger CPC glove had been popular with enduro riders wanting the improved grip that CPC can offer, but that the original glove was a bit lightweight for this use. So the Enduro, while still designed to be breathable and comfortable, features a fully adjustable velcro cuff, reinforced ribbed stitching and abrasion resistant panels where needed.

New fluro colour options are available on all ProLogo's saddles

Elsewhere in the Prologo stable, are new fluro colour options for all ProLogo's saddles. These new colours are combined into one coordinated package with ProLogo's excellent grippy One-Touch bar tape (with matching fluro logo details). The new Fluro packs should be available by mid/late spring although pricing is yet to be confirmed.
