Broughton Hall Estate has hosted cyclocross before: now its hosting the Rapha Tempest festival of cycling Broughton Hall Estate
UK cycle clothing label Rapha will hold a four-day festival of food, music, films and, most importantly, cycling, when the 2014 Tour de France comes to town.
The Team Sky clothing sponsor has teamed up with Broughton Hall Estate near Skipton in North Yorkshire to hold the four-day Rapha Tempest festival over the grand depart weekend, between 3 and 6 July.
Other event include a cyclocross race, secure 24-hour bike parking, a rider recovery zone and an on-site Rapha Cycle Club.

While the festival will offer a broad range of pursuits, the main attraction, the 101st Tour de France is just a pedal away from the picturesque estate: stage one is three miles away and stage two is nine miles away, says Rapha.
Accommodation is tented, ranging from a standard pitch at £85 per adult to posh accommodation in pre-pitched tents with beds for £320 per person, based on double occupancy. Campervan pitches will be available too.
The Tempest festival gets its name from the family who own the estate and is not a cynical reference to the fact the Tour de France might be lashed by plenty of rain.
