Germany's national tour has a 96 year history, with 2007 marking the 29th edition of the race. Taking place between August 10th-18th, this year's Tour of Germany boasts "the highest finish in the UCI ProTour": the 2670m Rettenbachferner, which concludes the stage 5 of the nine day race. There's also a 42km team time trial in Bretten in stage 2, the first time that this type of stage has featured in the tour.
