This jacket is made from a very lightweight Pertex fabric, so it’s incredibly breathable – so much so there’s no need for pit zips or other venting.
The cut is long enough in the arms and body for most riders. The cut is quite slim too, so it doesn’t flap around in a breeze like some lightweight jackets do. This is further improved by stretchy cuffs and waistband, which also help keep drafts out. The neck has a snug fit and the zips have glove friendly tabs that are easy to locate.
On the front are two decent sized hand pockets and a zippered breast pocket, all with a quality mesh lining. We would like zip or Velcro closures on the hand pockets for security, although we didn’t lose anything from them while we were testing.
It’s showerproof, so will keep you dry in moderate rain. The beauty is in how quickly it dries out. It’s perfect for warmer weather when rain is just an inconvenience, rather than a hellish winter downpour.
The light, breathable fabric means you don’t overheat easily, so it’s ideal for summer, and could also be worn in winter with the right layering.
