MCipollini Fastline bib short review

Hot weather favourites

BikeRadar score4/5

The Lycra on the Fastline is tightly woven and smooth, and the bib has a lightweight, open weave mesh and perforated lower back. The outer leg panels’ carbon effect weave looks good and is also extremely breathable. The simply shaped gel pad has a minimal depth and bobbled surface but it’s surprisingly comfortable.

These are one of our favourites for hot riding conditions. The fabric, fit and shape are among the best, cut long, down to the knee. A premium product from ‘Super Mario’s great new line.

Simon has been cycling for as long as he can remember, and more seriously since his time at university in the Dark Ages (the 1980s). This has taken in time trialling, duathlon and triathlon and he has toured extensively in Asia and Australasia, including riding solo 2900km from Cairns to Melbourne. He now mainly rides as a long-distance commuter and leisure/fitness rider. He has been testing bikes and working for Cycling Plus in various capacities for nearly 20 years.
