You can now get entry to all three distances of the inaugural Great Manchester Cycle for just £10 (£5 for children), a huge discount on the original £28 fee.

The closed-road ride around the centre of Manchester will take place on the 4 June bank holiday Monday. It's being organised by Nova, the firm behind the Bupa Great North Run, and sponsored by British newspaper the Daily Mirror.

It takes place on a 13-mile loop starting at Eastlands, going past Manchester United’s Old Trafford home with a unique chance to cycle on the normally chock-full-of-traffic ring road, the Mancunian Way.

Three different lengths are available; a single, 13 mile lap, 26 miles or 52 miles. Entry fee includes chip timing, a feed station, a Great Manchester Cycle T-shirt, medal and finishers pack. To enter, visit the event website.
