The new issue of MBUK is in the shops today

February's MBUK is out now, this is what you can expect

We love following the progression of exciting new UK talent and someone we’ve been keeping a close eye on recently is EWS podium regular Katy Winton.

This month we jumped at the chance to discover the amazing trails she has at her disposal in the Scottish Borders and the impact this has had on her career. You can read our full-length interview with Katy on page 54 of this month’s mag.

Staying up in Scotland, we join our regular columnist Hannah Barnes as she teams up with Hope Tech’s Rachael Walker and Brodie Hood for a bothy adventure in the remote Grampian mountains. Answer the call of the wild on page 70.

Sticking with the tripping theme, we follow a bunch of Canadian beatniks, called the Free Radicals, as they introduce one of their friends to the lifestyle of nomadic van living and bike riding — what better way to get over a relationship breakup than by hanging with your mates and riding bikes. More on page 62.

Being a UK mag we’ve got tonnes of home grown content too, such as a trip to discover trail builder Rowan Sorrell’s backyard paradise, a Big Ride report from The North York Moors and a Wrecking Crew day out at the classic spot of The Forest of Dean.

On the testing front this month we’ve been putting in the distance aboard four cross-country mile munchers from Trek, Giant, Felt and Scott.

Disc brakes are the subject of this month’s grouptest and we’ve been skidding our way down the hills to find the best trail/enduro anchors out there.

Besides this, there’s also a six of the best test on base layers and stand-alone reviews of OneUp’s EDC tool system, DMR’s Zone Boost wheelset, Olfi’s affordable one.five action cam, Crankbrother’s Highline dropper post and much more...
