There was plenty going on in the event village yesterday as cycling fans filled the venue to watch another day of racing. The downhill practice started early from 8am, which was followed by the cross country elite men's and women's races. It was good to see Liam Killeen back in race action, after a long period off the bike.
The pits in the event village are lively, with loads of trade stands to keep visitors occupied. Cedric Gracia was relaxing outside the Diamondback stand last night, nursing a broken wrist and broken ribs following his crash in the 4X finals the night before. He was in good spirits and his injury seemed not to have affected his ability to drink. Brian Lopes, world 4X champion was also cruising the pits to see what was going down.
