First sighting of new Procycling

After much wailing and gnashing of teeth, here at last is the first sighting of the revamped Procycling. Admittedly this image doesn’t show the calendar and bag that will be packaged with the new-look on the shelves, but it does at least provide a good idea of what British readers at least will need to look for when they rush out to their newsagent of choice on Thursday morning for their latest fix of the mag.

Having had the chance for a lingering look through the January issue, we reckon that Thursday morning sprint to the paper shop will be well worth the effort. As well as new (and clearer) fonts, better use of pictures and a whole stack of innovations to spruce up the front end of the mag and all of the features, we’ve made the first issue of 2007 a special by focusing on the 50 greatest climbs in the sport. We’ve conferred with pros and among ourselves and the one thing we guarantee is that we’re going to get an awful lot of feedback from Procycling readers about this list.

We’d be keen to hear your views on our top 50 and anything you particularly like or don’t about the new look mag, and there are now plenty of ways for you to get in touch – either by commenting on this blog, heading into the procycling forums, or even emailing us at

In the meantime, we’re off to lie down and gather ourselves for the next issue.
