My bit of rough…

I guess I've always been reasonably strait-laced. I'm a 'what you see is what you get' kind of guy.

I guess I’ve always been reasonably strait-laced. I’m a ‘what you see is what you get’ kind of guy. Black and white. One sugar. Oh and some milk. Nothing fancy. Yeah, I’ve tried stuff but I didn’t inhale.

That’s why recent events have shocked me. Left me feeling dirty even. I don’t know how it happened but it did and I just don’t want to live a lie anymore.

So, here goes…

I’m in a relationship with Jake.

There. Said it – I’ve got me a ‘cross bike. I don’t know why it’s taken so long, but the Kona Jake, and other knobbly-tyred, relaxed road geometry cyclo-cross bikes make a load of sense in a British winter. Rugged, reliable and not adverse to the rough stuff they’re a great idea for winter training.

Down here in Bath they’re blinding – bored of the road on a wet Sunday ride? – sneak down on the canal towpath or the Bristol-Bath railway path and have some slightly muckier fun.

Does this make me bike-curious?
