It’s no time at all since the post-Tour issue of Procycling went on sale, but three weeks on from that we’ve got yet another mag hitting the news-stands today thanks to the joys of doing 13 issues a year – more mags for you, more work for us…
But I reckon this is one of our best issues yet. Over the past few months, we’ve been speaking to pros past and present as well as all kinds of other cycling experts to suss out the techniques, tips, advice and equipment they believe has made a real difference to their riding. As well as cover star Tom Boonen, we’ve spoken to the likes of Greg LeMond, Filippo Pozzato, David Millar, Alessandro Ballan, Oscar Freire, Jonathan Vaughters, Robbie McEwen, Magnus Bäckstedt, Andy Hampsten and many more and gleaned a mass of useful advice ranging from the practical – heels down and pedal around – to the more bizarre – avoid pre-cut watermelon.
Avoiding pre-cut fruit may not help you boost your speed, but we’re confident there are plenty of other tidbits of wisdom that really could make a difference to your own riding, so don’t miss out on what effectively is a tutorial from some of the world’s best.
There’s plenty more too, including a full preview of the Tour of Britain, a recce of the road World’s route in Stuttgart by local favourite Stefan Schumacher and Frankie Andreu testing Felt’s sleek and mean F1 racing machine.
The mag will be on sale in North America and the rest of the world in the coming days. Let us know what you think of us producing an issue of this type – would you like to see more?
