Folding bike giants Brompton have revealed the bike behind their long-running Project X website teaser – the motor-assisted eBrompton.

While no photos or much in the way of spec have been released, Brompton did say their e-bike has been in development for the past six years and expected it to go into production by 2013. Initially, it will only be sold on a limited run in the UK and Germany

They have been teasing subscribers to their website for a few months now, with guesses as to what the mystery bike might be ranging from a titanium bike to a full carbon frame. They reckon the eBrompton is a Brompton in every sense, apart from its powerful motor. They will be posting more information on the bike very soon. Visit their website for more information.
