The 2018 Tour of Britain

The 2018 Tour of Britain starts on 2 September and continues over eight stages with some 1,140km of riding that will conclude in London on 9 September.

There are more hills than last year, with climbs in the Brecon Beacons on Stage 1, as well as the hilly terrain of the Mendips around Bristol.

In contrast, Stage 4 will offer an opportunity for the sprinters, but Stage 5’s 14km time trial will feature slopes of up to 20 percent, some of which will be repeated on Stage 6 the following day.

Finally, the terrain will flatten out a bit for the long 223km penultimate stage, while the sprinters will have a chance to make their mark on the final stage criterium in London.
