Rixen Kaul Mini Mapholder review£21.95

Battery-free navigation aid

BikeRadar score3.5/5

Do you prefer cheap, never-loses-its-signal paper to GPS? If you like using maps then this 9x15cm, 122g map holder fits any diameter of stem or handlebar via a quick-release KLICKfix bracket.

The Plexiglas clip will hold single sheet route cards as well as folded maps including Ordnance Survey Landrangers. There’s no rain protection unless you put the map in something like a freezer bag first.

If you have other KLICKfix items that could take advantage of this bracket, such as the bigger Rixen Kaul Freeliner Rotating Map Holder, then it might justify its price, but the Polaris MapTrap is basically identical, apart from the fixings, and as it costs £6 less it’s a better buy.
