Altura Kinetic Windproof review

A cold wind is often the killer when it comes to frozen hands and any form of wind protection will increase warmth. Many windproof gloves suffer by being overly tight and restrictive. Thankfully the Kinetics have been well designed.

Well-designed, warm gloves offering plenty of comfort

There's plenty of room to move around inside and this also traps warm air against the lightly brushed lining. The gloves aren't waterproof but the face fabric does a good job of repelling spray and showers.

The light palm features Gel Cells for extra comfort at the pressure points and silicon tabs line the palm to improve grip. The long cuff also sits nicely against long sleeves to block out drafts.

Reflective accents on the uppers light up nicely when hit by car and street lights, though the strips on our samples were starting to peel off slightly. But this is a minor gripe on an otherwise great winter glove.
