Our review
The best riding jacket we've ridden in bad weather – worth every penny of its steep price tag

Gore’s Fusion is the Ferrari of the winter jacket world, with a fit so perfect you almost forget you’re wearing it. It kept us dry and warm throughout our test, breathing superbly to prevent us from overheating.

Gore has used its body mapping idea to place different materials (including hardwearing XCR and warm, three-layer soft shell) around the coat, providing extra protection for the most exposed areas and stretchiness in the places where you move most.

It’s beautifully tailored with all the features you’d expect: taped seams, an internal drop tail, waterproof zips, adjustable wrists and a removable hood.

This all adds up to make the Fusion rugged, hardwearing and worth every penny of its steep price tag, because it will last you for years. This jacket makes winter riding a joy – so much so that you’ll be praying for rain so you can wear it.
