Looks good, feels good, performs fantastically - but it's quite pricey

Assos uses its own airblock 851 fabric (wind stopping laminate) on the arms, chest and stomach area of the umaJack, which is light yet effective on windy days and also reflective.

The shoulders, upper back and neck are also wind protected but with a much more stretchy material making for maximum comfort and fit. With a fleecy interior and roomy, easily accessible back pockets and a zipped safety pocket on the right side at the rear, this is a well thought out, functional jacket.

On the waterproof side of things it's not ideal for downpours, but is fine in showers.Reflective safety stripes run down from the back pockets as well as across the upper back and along the back of the arms so you light up well in car headlights. The cut and fit is what really sets this apart from some of the other women's jackets. It's not cheap though. Assos also does a men's version of the jacket.
