Our review
Stylish all-rounder with decent protection and performance but an irritating hood

The Stormshield fabric is waterproof enough to shrug off all but monsoon conditions while steam build-up is reduced by big inner arm/underarm/ side zips for airflow on the climbs. Neat captured draw cords and Velcro cuff tabs let you seal all exits. The shaped hood will slide under a helmet but even when cinched it's bulky behind your neck.

Glued-on reinforced contrast patches at the shoulders and elbows add useful wear and tear/wipe-out protection and you get weatherproof zips throughout. Big hand pockets and an iPod chest pocket with inner routing for a headphone lead give the Stormshield serious street appeal too. On the downside, it's not that light at 418g and the pack size is rather large.
