This is one bombproof jacket and all the features are big – from the long zip-pull to the reinforced wear areas and the neat self-closing magnetic zip flap.
However much we love not having to wrestle with Velcro, the zip flap does add to the weight of what is already a substantial jacket though.
It’s not designed for putting in cross-country miles, but the feeling of instantly warm, dry comfort makes this one for riding the gondola, or hanging around in the mizzle at the bike park.
The slouchy style allows it to be flung over layers or armour as required. But don’t be fooled by the relaxed attitude – when we needed to use the hood, the well-shaped design worked well. A little extra length at the back hem would have pleased this tall tester.
