BikeRadar score4.5/5

This big, bad jacket is built entirely with the heavy-duty freeride world in mind. The tough matt finish fabric is double waterproofed for total, longlasting protection and the whole jacket is cut big and roomy for using over body armour.

The double drawcord hem, velcro wrist tabs and tall fleece collar mean you certainly feel protected inside it, whether you're pedalling, standing around between stunts or walking the dog. It feels the bulkiest here by a long stretch though. Massive pit zips add excellent air cooling, leaving it much less sweaty than you'd expect. There are twin hand warmer and chest pockets too, one with internal headphone cable routing so your iPod won't get soggy.

The big refl ective arm logos keep you safe on the roads without making you look too dorky on the trail, but the matt fabric seems to absorb muck quicker than most jackets.
