Clutter-free performance that packs down small for good money

The Hydrolite is a lightweight and thin jacket that packs down nice and small. The material is 'reactive', which means that as it comes into contact with water the surface swells slightly, closing it up and essentially letting the water touching it serve only to make it more waterproof. It sounds odd, and we too were surprised to find it really works.

Fully taped seams and extra material under the armpits and around the collar make for a smooth chafe-free fit, and our only gripe with this jacket is the lack of reflective material on the back.

The stretchy fit and non-clammy breathability virtues of the Hydrolite make it a good rain choice, and it also packs down small enough to fit in a large centre pocket on most jerseys. Considering the performance, the small pack size and the price, this is a cracker of a simple jacket from Sugoi.
