Good performance balance and neat features, but baggy and expensive

Cannondale's serious performance windproof Carbon LE is way more than just a jersey.

The wind and waterproof 'Quadte Carbon' fabric is joined with a thinner stretch 'XJersey Plus' cloth via what Cannondale call a Muscular-skeletal seam construction. What this boils down to is plenty of wind and wet beating protection on the leading edges and a curvy panel cut that moves really well and blows sweat out through the thin back. The reflective logo either side of the pod and rear pocket zips help justify the high cost too.

The fabric feels a bit scratchy but it wicks well where it touches. US sizing and easy stretch means a size smaller would have given better performance. For extra protection, the Carbon LE 'jacket' uses the same cut and windproof cloth, but wrapped all round.
